Earnie Buchanan, 48, of Near Sims Dies Wednesday
Earnie Buchanan, 48, died Wednesday in the emergency room of Fairfield
Memorial Hospital, after suffering a heart attack. Mr. Buchanan was a
farmer in Berry township, north of Sims.
Funeral services are to be held Friday afternoon at two o'clock at
Salem church, southwest of Keenes. Burial will be in Salem cemetery.
The body will lie in state at Richardson Chapel in Wayne City, where
friends may call at any time.
Mr. Buchanan was born on September 28, 1910, in Wayne county, the son
of Aaron and Minnie (Rainwater) Buchanan. On February 9, 1928, he
married Josie Howlett, who survives.
Also surviving are five sons, Aaron of Centralia, Everett and Glenn of
Toluca and Verle and Berlyn, both at home; four daughters, Betty Lane
of Opdyke, Laura Withrow of Bluford, Alice Thomason of Irvington, and Jo
Ann Trotter of Peoria; and one half-sister, Cordia Hall of Albuquerque,
N.M.
Twelve grandchildren also survive.
