3X-great-granddaughter of Benjamin and Permelia (Casey) Wood
Many volunteers have worked very hard to provide the researchers of Jefferson County a listing of Cemeteries and to provide pictures of headstones to help you in your personal research. PLEASE DO NOT TAKE the cemetery listings and pictures that others have worked so hard to provide and add it to any other website as your own. Thank You for understanding and respecting the work of others. |
My Casey kinfolk are there and one Permelia Caroline Casey married Benjamin Wood in 1846. They had 10 children in Mount Vernon and left 3 of them buried in the grave yard there. You have listed these lost children and I want to offer more information if you are inclined to add it. Harriett E. Wood was born 25 Jun 1849 and died 1 April 1850. Since that is 9 months old she is probably referred to both as the H.E Wood with no marker and the infant Wood who died in 1850 aged 9 months. Johny and Harden are her brothers. Harden died in the Civil War. Their parents moved to Kansas and are buried in McPherson County.
