Know all men by these presents that we Ignatius ATCHISON and Philadelphia ATCHISON, his wife, Henry MYERS and Winney MYERS, his wife, Samuel ATCHISON and Elizabeth ATCHISON, his wife, George W. ATCHISON, and Ruhamy ATCHISON, his wife, Thomas J. ATCHISON and Ignatius, Attorney for William H. ATCHISON and Elizabeth ATCHISON, his wife, Martha CHAFFIN, heirs of Barton ATCHISON deceased and Solomon GODDRID, Guardian of Francis GODDIRD, heir of Sarah GODRID (deceased) heir of Barton ATCHISON deceased and Wyatt PARRISH, guardian for John PARRISH, George W. PARRISH, Lucy J. PARRISH, James M. PARRISH and Bird PARRISH, heirs of Slatha PARRISH (heirs of Sarah GODRID deceased, heirs of Barton ATCHISON deceased all of the County of Jefferson and State of Illinois in consideration of the sum of five hundred dollars paid to us by John HARVELL of the County and State aforesaid (the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged) do hereby give grant bargain, sell and convey unto the said John HARVELL, his heirs and assigns, certain tracts or parcels of land with the buildings thereon and all the privileges and appurtenances to the same belonging situate in the said county aforesaid and described as follows (viz) the South West quarter of the North East quarter of section Two in Township Four South of Range Three East containing forty-five acres and eighty-seven hundredths of an acre. Also the South part of the East Half of the North East quarter of Section Seventeen Township Four South of Range Three East - containing twenty one acres - Also, South part of East Half of South East quarter of section Twenty Six Township Three South of Range Three containing eleven acres - To Have and to Hold as above granted premises, to the said John HARVELL his heirs and assigns, to his and their use and behoof forever - And we the said Ignatius Atchison and aforesaid Heirs, for ourselves and our Heirs, Executors and Administrators, do covenant with the said John HARVEL his heirs and assigns, that we are lawfully seized in fee simple of the aforegranted premises, that they are free from all encumbrances - that we have good right to sell and convey the same to the said John HARVEL his heirs and assigns forever as aforesaid - and that we will and our Heirs & Executors and Administrators shall Warrant and Defend the same to the said John HARVEL his heirs and assigns forever, against the lawfull claims and demands of all persons. In Witness whereof we the said Ignatius ATCHISON and Philadelphia ATCHISON and the aforesaid joint heirs and co-heirs, have hereunto set our hands and seals, this 11th day of March in the year of our Lord, One Thousand Eight Hundred and Fifty - It being understand by the parties to the above conveyance, and the aforesaid John HARVEL, that William ATCHISON and Elizabeth ATCHISON, his wife, Theophilus COOK and Louisa COOK, his wife - John LYLE and Lucy J. LYLE, his wife, are joint heirs with the aforesaid Ignatius ATCHISON and Philadelphia ATCHISON, his wife, and the aforesaid heirs and that the aforesaid heirs Warrants and Defends only so far as their interest in said lands are concerned.

State of Illinois Be it remembered that on the 11th day of March in the year of our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and Fifty before me subscribes, one of the Justices of Peace, in and for the said County of Jefferson, personally appeared Ignatius ATCHISON, Henry MYERS, Samuel ATCHISON, George W. ATCHISON, Thomas J. ATCHISON, and Ignatius ATCHISON, Attorney for William H. ATCHISON and Elizabeth his wife, Martha CHAFFIN, Solomon GODRID and Wyatt PARRISH, personally known to me to be part of the individuals described in and who executed the within deed and acknowledged that they had executed the same; also at the same time, personally appeared before me, Philadelphia ATCHISON wife of the said Ignatius ATCHISON, Winney MYERS wife of Henry MYERS, Elizabeth ATCHISON wife of Samuel ATCHISON, Ruhamy ATCHISON wife of said George W. ATCHISON satisfactorily know to me, to be part of the individuals described in and who executed the within deed, and after I had made them acquainted with and explained to them the contents of the said deed on an examination separate and apart from their said husbands, acknowledged the same to be their act and deed, and that they executed the same voluntarily and freely without compulsion of their said husbands and that they do not wish to retract.
