N.B. ALLEN FORMER RESIDENT BURIED TODAY AT OAKWOOD CEMETERY

The body of N.B. ALLEN (Nimrod BRYANT) who died in Palm Beach Florida, last Friday, arrived here this morning accompainied by Mrs. ALLEN and was taken directly to Oakwood from the L & N passenger train, due here at 10:12, where burial was held. Funeral services were conducted at the grave by Dr. George R. GOODMAN, pastor of the First M.E. Church.

Dr. ALLEN and family were residents of Mt. Vernon 30 years or more ago, and lived on North Street.

He was born the 8th of November 1852 and his age at the time of death was 78 years 5 months and 5 days.

Dr. ALLEN was well known and he and his family had many friends in the city while residents of Mt. Vernon.
