Mrs. Anna Allen, of Waltonville, dies at age 86.

Mrs. Anna Allen died at 6:15 p.m. Monday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. I. L. Quinn of Waltonville. Her age was 86 years, nine months and two days.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Methodist church in Waltonville. The Rev. E. L. Gulley will officiate and burial will be in Knob Prairie cemetery, north of Waltonville. The body will remain at the Fry Funeral Home in Waltonville, where friends may call at any time after 6:oo p.m. today.

Mrs. Allen was born October 15, 1863 in Jefferson County, the daughter of the late Andrew and Martha (McConnaughay) Shurtz.

On May 12, 1882 she was married to Logan Newbury, who preceeded her in death November 12, 1910.

To this union four children were born. They are Frank Newbury of Sesser, Mrs. Lena Quinn and Mrs. Anna Fred of Waltonville.

In November, 1923 she was married to J. H. Allen, who died March 31, 1939.
