Mrs. Ellen Archer, wife of Barrett Archer, died at the family residence in Dodd's township last night, of malarial fever, after a long illness.

Deceased was born in Jackson, Tenn., in 1853, and came to this county with her husband and family from Springfield, Mo. about two years ago.

She leaves a husband and nine children, five sons and four daughters, all of whom reside in this county.

The funeral was held at 3 o'clock this afternoon, Rev. J. C. Kinnison conducting the obsequies. The burial was at Salem cemetery west of the city.
