Beverly Jane Arment
Beverly Jane Arment, 54, of Woodlawn died 2:40 a.m. Nov. 8, 2003, at St. Mary's/Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon. She was employed by Good Samaritan Regional Health Center, where she was a pediatric nurse until failing health. Mrs. Arment was born Oct. 12, 1949, in Mt. Vernon to Joseph Ernest "Ernie" and Flora Jane (Creek) Hays. She married Richard Arment July 28, 1967, in Perryville. Mo.; he survives. Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at Old Shiloh Cemetery in Mt. Vernon. The Rev. Tom Ozment will officiate. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Newell Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon. Mrs. Arment is survived by her husband, Richard Arment of Woodlawn; a daughter Tammy Light and husband Steve and their son, Zeke, and an expected grandchild of Salem; sons Justin Arment and wife Nikki and their daughter Hannah, of Chesterfield, Mo., and Jon Arment of Woodlawn; brothers Bill Hays and wife Sharon of Benton La., Bob Hays of Hollywood, Fla., and Larry Hays and wife Jeanne of Plant City, Fla.; and sister-in-law Kathy Hays of Kodak, Tenn. She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Ernest "Ernie" Hays; her mother, Flora Jane (Creek) Hays; her daughter, Kimberly Dawn Arment; and her brothers, Jerry Hays and Roy Duane Hays. Mrs. Arment was a participant and actie team member of Relay For Life.She was a very kind and caring woman. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society's Relay For Life and will be accepted at the funeral home. For more information you may contact Newell Funeral Home in Mt.
