Marie I. Ashley (nee McConnaughhay), 75 will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, at Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, (four blocks south of Palatine Road) Arlington Heights.

Born Feb 24, 1923, in Jefferson County, Illinois, she died Thursday, Nov. 5, 1998, at home. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Arlington Heights.

Mrs. Ashley had been employed by Honeywell in Arlington Heights for 25 years, retiring in 1994. She was a member of Hope Lutheran Church.

Survivors include her children, Diana Moss of Palatine, Theresa (Glenn) Kingsley of Lancaster, Calif., and Bernard (Virginia) Ashley of Mundelein; grandchildren, Deborah, Pamela, Brenda, Janice, Carolyn, Amanda and Sarah; great-grandchildren, Josh, Emily, Clay and Collin; brothers, Dwight (Ruth) McConnaughhay, of Colorado Springs, Colo., and William (Mary) Tracey of Mount Vernon, IL; and sisters, Mary Moss of Belvidere and Louise (Perry) Thomas of Bluford, IL.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Ashley, daughter, Elaine; brother, George; and sisters, Betty and Freda.

Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Evanston Northwestern Hospice or to the American Cancer Society.
