Mrs. Florence Atchison Dies At Age 90 Years

Mrs. Florence Atchison died at 2:45 am today at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J.B. Egbert of north 26th street.

She was 90 years, one month and seven days of age.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday at Hams Grove Baptist church. The Rev. Marsh Harpole will officiate and burial will be in the adjoining cemetery. Friends may call at the Gholson Funeral Home at dahlgren after 4:00 pm Tuesday. At 1:00 pm Wednesday the body will be moved to the church to lie in state until the funeral hour.

Mrs. Atchison, known by her many friends as Aunt Florence, was born October 18, 1873 in Jefferson county, the daughter of Henry M. and K. (Williams) Richards.

On March 21, 1890 she was married to William H. Atchison, who preceded her in death.

Survivors include two sons, Charlie R. Atchison of near Opdyke and Ellis Atchison of Mt. Vernon; two daughters, Mrs. Iva Gill of Opdyke and Mrs. Ruby Egbert of Mt. Vernon, with whom she made her home; four grandchildren, five great grandchildren andn three great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
