Nacie A. ATCHISON, 73, of Belle Rive, died Wednesday at 10:10 p.m. at Jefferson Memorial Hospital.

He was a retired employee of the State Highway Department, a carpenter and a farmer.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Belle Rive Missionary Baptist Church, with the Rev. Rudolph SCHLAG and Rev. Richard McCORMICK officiating. He was a trustee of the church. Burial will be in the Flint Cemetery in Belle Rive.

Friends may call at the Gholson Funeral Home in Dahlgren after 4 p.m. today. The body will be taken to the church at noon Saturday, where it will lie in state until the funeral hour.

Mr. ATCHISON was born September 13, 1902, in Jefferson County, the son of Ambrose and Jane (FRYAR) ATCHISON.

He was married to Wilma SMITH in 1932. She preceded him in death.

He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. D. F. (Doris) MALLORY and Mrs. Ronald (Norma) TENNYSON, both of Belle Rive; one brother, Orville ATCHISON, Albion; two sisters, Mrs. Arzilla HOUSEWORTH and Mrs. Thelma WINN, both of Belle Rive; and one grand-daughter, Lawanda MALLORY, Belle Rive.
