Samuel ATCHISON was born at Moris (Moores) Prairie, IL, April 1st, and died at Mt. Vernon, IL, January 27, 1920; aged 75y9m4d.

He was married to Miss Celia GODDARD. To this union were born seven children. Four of the children and their mother preceeded their father in death.

In his death he leaves to mourn their loss three children: Mrs. Malinda MARLOW, of Moris Prairie; William ATCHISON, also of Moris Prairie, Samuel ATCHISON, of Mt. Vernon; and his second wife, Mrs. Pennie ALD_____ and a step-daughter Miss Ganal ______.

The funeral service was held at Ham's Grove Baptist Church January 28th, conducted by Rev. J. W. P____SON, after which the body was buried at the Ham's Grove Cemetery.
