Monroe Barnfield Dies at Age 82

Monroe Barnfield of RFD 7, Mt. Vernon, died at 10:30 o'clock Sunday morning at Good Samaritan Hospital. His age was 82 years, five months and four days.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2:00 p. m. at Union Chapel church, with the Rev. Bird Green officiating, and burial will be in Union Chapel cemetery. The body will remain at the Osborn Funeral Home in Dix, where friends may call at any time until the funeral hour.

Mr. Barnfield was born May 3, 1866 in Missouri.

He was married to Ida Davis, who preceded him in death December 27, 1936.

Mr. Barnfield was a member of Old Mt. Zion church.

He is survived by a foster daughter, Mrs. Nona Duncan and a sister, Mrs. Cora Patterson of Carthage, Mo.
