U.S. Barton Dies At Age 83 At Waltonville

Ulyssus Samuel Barton, a retired farmer, died at 2:30 a.m. today at his home north of Waltonville.

He was 83 years of age. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Lone Prairie Christian Church. The Rev. Mr. Weatherford of Dahlgren will conduct the services, and burial will be in the Mt. Vernon Memorial Gardens. The body will be taken from the Fry Funeral Home to the family home north of Waltonville at 2 p.m. Wednesday where it will lie in state until the funeral hour.

Mr. Barton was born January 7, 1873, in Warren county, Ky.

He was married July 11, 1905, in Carmi to Zadie Wilder, who survives.

He was a member of the Little Wabash Primitive Baptist Church.

Surviving, besides his wife, are two sons, Norbert of Marissa and Cyril of Waltonville; two daughters, Mrs. Nola Lenington of Bluford and Mrs. Florence Edwards of Flint, Mich.; ten grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one son.
