Clemenza Thompson BEAN was born in the state of Tenn., Sept. 15, 1834.

She was united in marriage to W.K. Bean Sept. 8, 1853. She departed this life Jan. 19, 1915 at the age of 80 yrs., 4 mos., and 4 days.

W.K. BEAN was born in Jefferson county, Ill., Nov. 10, 1834. He was united in marr. to Clemenza Thompson Sept. 8, 1853. To this union 9 children were born, eight girls and one boy.

The surviving children are Mrs. Cynthia Hester, Mrs. Lucinda C. Dennis, Mrs. Conny E. Key, Mrs. Canzada Dees, Mrs. Martha Holloway, K.W. Bean and 30 grandchildren.

He departed this life Jan. 27, 1915, at the age of 80 yrs. 2 mos., and 17 days. His death was due to grief over the death of his wife, which occurred one week prior. Their bodies were laid to rest in the Black cemetery.
