Oma Ettie MARSHALL, daughter of George B. and Mary E. MARSHALL, was born in Spring Garden Twp., Jefferson County, IL, November th 3rd, 1885.

Was married to John Quincy BEATY June 14, 1908. Departed this life July 1, 1910, at the age of 24y7m28d.

She leaves to mourn her departure a loving husband, a father and mother, four sisters -- Mrs. Carrie SAPP of McLeansboro, IL; Mrs. Bertie STEWART of Greenview, IL; Addie and Harley; and two brothers, Vivus and Jarvis of Mt. Vernon, IL, and a host of relatives and friends.

To know her was to love her. She professed faith in Christ in the fall of 1898, and lived a devoted, sanctified life until the end.

The funeral was from the Ham's Grove Church, conducted by Rev. Marion BUMPUS of Farmington, MO., assisted by Sister Mitchell, pastor of the U.B. Church of Mt. Vernon, of which the deceased was a member. Interment in Ham's Grove Cemetery.
