SUFFERINGS OF FOUR LONG YEARS ARE ENDED TODAY Mrs. Wm. M. Beauford Died at 6 a.m. Today-Married Life of Mr. and Mrs. Beauford continued More Than 56 Years. Mrs. Frances Caroline Beauford, wife of Wm.M. Beauford died at 6 o'clock this morning at the family home, 115 Casey Avenue. Mr. and Mrs. Beauford were married in Dahlgren December 10, 1871, and their 56th wedding anniversary occuried December 10, 1927. Death ends a period of four years of invalidism for Mrs. Beauford. About 17 years ago she was stricken with paralysis but, apparently had recovered long ago, but about four years ago she was obliged to take to her bed because unable to walk, and since that time she has been bedfast. Notwithstanding her long years of suffering she was patient, never complained and set an example of resignation and fortitude truly inspiring. In early youth she became identified with the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in her home town in the south and remained true to to its tenets. Mrs. Beauford was a faithful Christian and very devout. Mrs. Beauford was born in Davidson County, Tenn., but came to Illinois early in life, and with the exception of four years she and Mr. Beauford spent in Georgia, they had lived in Mt. Vernon ever since 1865. Mrs. Beauford is survived by her aged husband, who is in this 79th year. And four childern: George Beauford, West Frankfort: Ralph Beauford, Mt. Vernon: Noah Beauford, Villa Grove, Ill: Mrs. Wm. Rainey, Benton. One child died many years ago. Mrs. Beauford had been unconcious the last few days, but prior to that time her mind was very acute. Funeral Services will be held Sunday at 2 o'clock at the family home, conducted by the Rev. F.L. Karn, and burial will be at Oakwood.
