Alexis Mabel Ruth Beckham, infant daughter of David L. Beckham and Kayla N. Juds, died 6:29 a.m. May 20, 2006, at her home in Mt. Vernon.

Alexis was born Feb. 28, 2006, in Mt. Vernon. She was 2 months and 22 days old.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel at Mt. Vernon Memorial Gardens in Woodlawn. The Rev. Garlin Burris will officiate. It is requested that those wishing to attend gather at Mt. Vernon Memorial Gardens Wednesday morning. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon.

Alexis is survived by her mother, Kayla Juds of Mt. Vernon; her father, David Beckham of Belle Rive; a brother, David Beckham Jr. of Belle Rive; a sister, Haley Beckham of Salem; her paternal grandparents, Darrell and Nona Beckham of Belle Rive; her maternal grandparents, Curtis and Deborah Wolfe of Kinmundy and Robert and Julie Juds of Kinmundy; great-grandparents Eddie and Anita Easley of Salem, Jerry and Janet McIntosh of Iuka, Tony and Carol Accuff of Iuka and David and Carol LeFever of Clay City; and great-great-grandmothers Mattie Muehlhausen of Salem, Henrietta Poe of Effingham and Mildred Wolfe of Bible Grove.

For those who wish, memorials may be given to the Beckham Children’s Trust Fund and will be accepted at the funeral home or may be mailed to Hughey Funeral Home, P.O. Box 721, Mt. Vernon, IL 62864.
