Odes Beckham
Odes Beckham, 79, Dies at Home on Route 1, Bonnie Odes Beckham, and Elk Prairie township farmer, died at 9:00 a.m. today at his home of RFD 1, Bonnie. He was 79 years and seven days of age. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at the Elk Prairie Christian Church with the Rev. J. G. Parsons officiating and burial will be in Hickory Hill cemetery. The body will be removed from Myers Chapel to the family home where friends may call after 2:00 p.m. Wednesday. Mr. Beckham was born January 20, 1874 in McClellan township, Jefferson county, the son of Edward Beckham and Elizabeth (Bradburn) Beckham. He was married to Nancy Elizabeth Hays, who survives. He was a member of the Elk Prairie Christian Church. Besides his wife he is survived by two sons, Harold and Howard of Bonnie; a brother, Roise Beckham of Marion; and two sisters, Mrs. Nannie Beal of Mt. Vernon and Mrs. Mary Conner of Grand View, Washington.
