Vona Beckman Of Bartonville Died At Age 82

Vona A. Beckman, 82, of 5728 W. Colt Drive, Bartonville, died at 1 a..m. Saturday, June 29, 1991, at Methodist Medical Center.

Born Aug. 23, 1908, in Jefferson County to John R. and Edith E. Harmon Rhymes, she married Ervie H. Beckman on Feb. 27, 1929, in Benton. He died on Feb. 12, 1975.

She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Doris K. Ford, three sisters, two brothers and one grandson.

She is survived by three sons, William R. of Elmwood, and Stanley R. and Maurice H., both of Salem; three daughters, Mary L. Vaughn and Betty A. Vaughn, both of Bartonville, and Beverly J. Rauthenberg of East Peoria; 18 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

She was a member of the Artesia, Calif., chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Schmidt-Haller Funeral Parlors in East Peoria, with the Rev. Gaylord Buss officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral parlors. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery in Peoria.

Memorials may be made to the St. Jude Mid-West Affiliate.
