Drew Anthony Bennett, 12, of Route 2, Xenia died at 11:08 a.m. Feb. 3, 2005 at Children’s/Barnes-Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, MO.

He was born May 16, 1992 in Mt. Vernon to Bryan W. and Judy K. (Jones) Bennett of Xenia.

He was a 7th grade student at Wayne City Grade School where he was involved with the 7th and 8th grade Olympiad Team, Pep Club, National Junior Beta Club and was on the basketball, baseball and track teams. He was a High Honor students. J.A.K.E.S. of National Wild Turkey Federation and the Fellowship of Christian Sportsman.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Feb. 7, 2005 at Orchardville Community Church, Orchardville. Bro. Tracy Bennett, Bro. Cliff Clark and Bro. Mark Shell will officiate.

Friends may call 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the church.

Burial will be at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Xenia.

Besides his parents, he is survived by one sister, Natasha Bennett, at home; special friend, Serena Schuhart, Xenia; maternal grandmother, Nancy Lane, Wayne City; paternal grandparents, Richard and Diane Bennett, Xenia; paternal great grandparents, Andrew and Shelia Mayo, Rinard, Laura Bennett, Xenia; paternal great-great-grandmother, Alberta Pennington, Fairfield as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Mandy Kaye.

He was a member of Trinity General Baptist Church where he was a member of the Youth Group, Fairfield.

Memorial may be made to the family. Drew was a Gift of Life donor.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by Hosselton Funeral Home, Cisne.
