Mrs. Nelle Dodds Bevis, a former well known Waltonville resident, died Monday morning in Champaign, Illinois.

She was the wife of Charles Bevis and the daughter of Joseph and Rosa Dodds. At one time Mr. and Mrs. Bevis lived in Waltonville, where Mr. Bevis operated a hardware store.

Funeral services for Mrs. Bevis will be held Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Methodist church in Urbana and burial will follow in the cemetery there.

Mrs. Bevis was born in Elk Prairie township, Jefferson county.

Survivors include two brothers, Bryan and John Dodds, and a sister, Lynn, all of whom reside in California, three daughters and two sons. A sister, Grace preceded her in death.
