Clyde J. Bickley
Clyde J. Bickley, 90, of Scandinavia, Wis., died June 25, 2005, at Riverside Medical in Waupaca. Mr. Bickley was born Dec. 14, 1914, in Mt. Vernon, a son of the late Samuel W. and Nellie (Jessee) Bickley. He married Edna (Osborn) Bickley June 21, 1940, in Mt. Vernon; she survives. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday at Iola United Methodist Church. Stanley Bickley and the Rev. Raymond Robinson will officiate. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in the town of Iola, Wis. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Voie Funeral Home in Iola, Wis. Mr. Bickley is survived by his wife, Edna of Scandinavia, Wis.; a daughter, Carolyn (Leroy) Borth of Iola, Wis.; two sons, Stanley (Joann) Bickley of Santa Maria, Calif., and Philip (Helen) Bickley of Wausau; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. Mr. Bickley had been a dairy farmer, owning a farm in Mosinee from 1957 until 1968, when he and his wife moved to Scandinavia, Wis. Prior to that, he had been a maintenance engineer for Mt. Vernon High School for 10 years. While in Mt. Vernon, he was a 4-H leader and a member of the school board for many years.
