George Curtis Bliss
Once again death has summoned a loved one and the "Golden Gates of Eternity" have swung open to welcome George Curtis BLISS, son of George M. and Martha Jane BLISS, born at the old home place in Dodds Township, September 22, 1875. Entered into rest March 26, 1932; age 56 years, 6 months, 4 days. Was married to Effie BOOK, January 30, 1909. To this union were born four children, two sons, Seymore Ellis and George; two daughters, Jane and Evelyn. He leaves to mourn their loss a broken hearted wife and children, three brothers, namely, Jim and Anson Bliss, both in California, and Seymour BLISS in Oregon; three sisters, Mary WALLACE, California; Francis WILLIAMS, Ewing, Ill.; and Ellen PRIGMORE, Benton, Ill., besides a host of relatives and friends. During his suffering, which lasted several days, he bore his suffering with great patience and always greeted his relatives and friends. The future didn't worry him and for them not to worry about him. He was ready to go and passed away peacefully, was a genial disposition loved by all who knew him, loving every one and claimed all to be his friends. (The edge of this obit is torn and I have added what I think the words might be.)
