Regina L. Boczek
Regina L. Boczek, 85, of Waltonville and formerly of Du Bois passed away 10:28 p.m. Feb. 1, 2005, at St. Mary’s Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon. Mrs. Boczek was a garment inspector for 30 years, working at Forrest City, Country Set and Bridal Originals. She was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church in Du Bois, St. Theresa Sodality, Du Bois Quilting Club and AARP. She was born Aug. 31, 1919, in Tamaroa, a daughter of Joseph and Lucy (Suchomski) Kruski. She married Walter C. Boczek Oct. 3, 1938, in Du Bois; he preceded her in death Feb. 22, 1979. She is survived by four daughters, Rose Marie Berger and husband George E. of Ashley, Josephine McCowen and husband Donald Ray of Waltonville, Margaret Kujawa and husband Daniel F. of Du Bois and Carolyn Niedbalski and husband Ed Niedbalski Jr. of Du Bois; 17 grandchildren; and 18 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Bernard Boczek; four brothers; and three sisters. Mass of Christian burial will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at St. Charles Catholic Church in Du Bois, with Monsignor Melvin Vandeloo officiating. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa. Rosary will be prayed 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Interment will be in St. Charles Cemetery in Du Bois. Friends may make memorials to the St. Charles Church Building Renovation Fund or to St. Charles Cemetery and they will be accepted at the funeral home.
