Alfred Wright Bond
Alfred Wright Bond, was born January 14, 1872, and died August 8, 1922, age 50 years, 6 months and 25 days. He was the sixth child of Allen and Viola Bond, well known old residents of this county, both of whom have died. He was married to Miss Rose Donoho on the 6th day of October, 1890. To this union was born one son, Gale. Alf, as he was familiarly known by his neighbors and friends, was a man of sterling worth and numbered his friends by his acquaintances. He professed faith in Christ on June 22, 1922 and lived thereafter in full anticipation of the hopes beyond the grave. He frequently talked of his death and when it came he went unafraid. He leaves to mourn their loss a broken hearted wife, a sorrowing son and daughter-in-law, two sisters, Mrs. Mat. Wells of Bloomington and Mrs. George Holloway of this county, and one brother, Jesse Bond, of this county, and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held on Thursday, the 10th, at Wells Chapel, conducted by Rev. C. E. Hunt. Burial at the Chapel cemetery.
