Hollis BOOK of Bonnie, a retired farmer and mail carrier, died at 4:56 this morning at Good Samaritan Hospital, where he had been a patient for the past two months. He was 77 years, six months, and 11 days of age.

Funeral services will be held next Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Missionary Baptist Church at Bonnie, of which he was a member. The Rev. Thomas HARPER and the Rev. Mr. TACKETT will officiate and burial will be in Bethel Memorial Cemetery. Friends may call at the Pulley Funeral Home after 10 a.m. Monday. At noon Tuesday the body will be removed to the church, to lie in state until the funeral hour.

Mr. BOOK was born October 1, 1880 in Jefferson County, the son of Charles A. and Mary M. (HUGHEY) BOOK.

On August 19, 1900 he was married to Myrtle Ethel BUMPUS, who preceded him in death.

He is survived by three sons, John A. of New York, Wiltz (Doug) of Mt. Vernon and Harry A. of Bonnie; four daughters, Jewell BURCHELL of Dixon, IL, Eva BALTZELL and Wilma BOOK of Bonnie and Pearl KELLEY of Ina; 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; and two sisters, Ollie McBRIAN and Effie BLISS of Bonnie. His parents, wife, two brothers and one sister preceded him in death.
