Funeral services for William Lee BOOK, who died of a heart attack at his home at 1025 South 17th Street Saturday night, were held at 2 o'clock yesterday afternoon at the Bonnie M. E. Church. Services were conducted by Rev. PILAN of Sesser and Rev. Clarence HESTER of Mt. Vernon. Interment was made in Kirk Cemetery.

Mr. BOOK, a well known Mt. Vernon citizen, was 74 years of age. He was born September 23, 1864.

On December 15, 1897, he was united in marriage with Harriet CLINTON. Mr. BOOK resided in Mt. Vernon for the past 16 years.

Surviving are his wife, the following, Mrs. J. F. PRESSLEY of Mt. Vernon; H. D. BOOK of Gary, Ind.; Mrs. Weaver WILLIAMS of Bonnie; J. H. BOOK of Bonnie; Mrs. Herman BYER and Hallie BOOK of Mt. Vernon; four brothers, Jeff BOOK of Malden, Mo.; Oscar BOOK of Ina; Jerry BOOK of Missouri and Homer BOOK of Bonnie; two sisters, Mrs. Maranda BURNS of Texico and Mrs. James McBRYAN; and 17 grand-children.
