James M. Boster Dies at age 84: rites Saturday James Monroe Boster died at 3:15 am today at his home, 516 S. 17th Street, at the age of 84 years, five months and ten days. A retired farmer, he had been in failing health for the past two years. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2:00 pm at the Pulley Funeral Home with the Rev. F.H. Lathrop officiating, and the burial will be in Bethel Memorial Cemetery. Masonic rites will be conducted by the Dahlgren Lodge A.F. and A.M. The body will remain at the Pulley Funeral Home, where friends may call at any time after 10 am Friday. Mr. Boster was born August 2m 1865 in Franklin County, the son of Joshua and Arlena (Epperson) Boster. On May 6, 1906 he was married, in Franklin County, to Myra Fisher who survives. Mr. Boster was a member of the United Brethren church here. A 32nd degree Mason, he was a member if Dahlgren Lodge, A.F. and A.M. and was a charter member of the Eastern Star at Ewing. Mr. Boster was the last of a family of 12, including three half-sisters. Surviving besides his wife, are four sons, Raymond of Alton, Ill., Val of Peoria, Ill., Irvin of Dixon, Ill., and Paul of Fairfield; three daughters, Ellnora Sammons of Dixon, Ill., Arlena Harris of Mt. Vernon, Ill., and Leona May Bradley of Meredoncia, Ill., and 12 grandchildren. Besides his family he reared a niece Eadie Pigg of Mt. Vernon and a nephew George Kelly of Benton.
