Gertrude Mae (Green) BRADDY, 88 yrs old...died this morning at her daughter Mabel Latta" home in Jackson, Tennessee at 5:45am. She was a former resident of Bluford.

Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 1:30pm at the Bluford Baptist Church of which she was a memner for many, many years. The Rev. Arthur Grigg will officate, and, burial in Mt. Olive cemetry.

Mrs Braddy was born in Jefferson County on May 24, 1870, the daughter of W.H. Knapp and wife Amelia ( Davison) Poole.

In 1888 she married Bluford Green, who died in 1912.

She later married Jesse Braddy, who died in 1942.

Survivors include W.C. Green of Vincennes, IN, Jesse L. Green of Livermore, CA, Ruby Pepple of Bluford, Mabel Latta of Jackson TN. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren and 20 gr. grandchildren.

Mrs. Braddy was preceded in death by one son Everett Green who died in 1936, one brother and 3 sisters.

Mrs. Braddy was my gr grandmother and she passed way in 1958 just before her first gr gr grandchild was born.
