Joseph BRADLEY - Last Saturday another old and highly respected citizen passed to ______ ______ having suffered for many months from a cancerous trouble.

Mr. BRADLEY was born in the State of Deleware, May 28, 1809, and was, therefore, aged 77 years, four months and 25 days.

In February, 1832, he was married to Miss Mary Ann VanCLEVE in Hamilton County, Ohio.

In 1836 he emigrated to this county where he had lived ever since.

His first wife having died.

In August, 1859, he married Mrs. Ellen Ann RHAM of this county, who still survives him.

In early youth Mr. BRADLEY converted and for 30 years was an active member of the Methodist Church. The last 30 years of his life he was an active member of the United Brethren Church and died in its faith.

Mr. Bradley was in many ways a noted man. He was thoroughly honest in every transaction and never allowed himself to become involved in debt to any great extent, in his last illness even offering to settle with his physician as he visited him. He was one of the most hospitable men in the county, and was never known to charge anyone, be he an acquaintance or stranger, for stopping under his roof or eating at his table. He was conscientious in all his dealings with fellow-man, and no man can say that he was ever wronged by Joseph BRADLEY. In short, Mr. BRADLEY enjoyed the esteem and co_____ce of his acquaintances and was highly respected by all who knew him.

The funeral services were conducted by Rev. A. FELTON on Sabbath Day, October 24, and were attended by a large number of people. The remains were buried in Pace graveyard some two miles south of this city. Peace to the ashes of another old land-mark.

He lived among this people for 50 years, and his example is worth emulating. He leaves a wife and five children.
