Mrs. Mary Brim Dies At Age 85; Funeral Today

Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Brim died at 6:15 am Saturday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Barney Badgett, 609 south 17th street. She had been in failing health for the past seven years.

Funeral services were held at 2:30 pm today at the Pulley Funeral Home, with the Rev. Lester E. Pifer officiating, and burial was in Oakwood cemetery. Mrs. Brim was born February 4, 1869 in Mt. Vernon, the daugter of Daniel and Sarah (Keys) Hancock.

On January 3, 1886 se was married, in Mt. Vernon, to Robert Brim, who preceded her in death.

Mrs. Brim had been a member of othe Christian church for 40 years.

She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Barney Badgett of Mt. Vernon, Mrs. Cora Ferguson of Woodlawn and Mrs. Edna Holcomb of centralia; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and a half-brother, Don. C. Allen of California.

She was preceded in death by a son, a daughter, a brother and two sisters.
