Cleva A. (Boldwyn) Brown
Cleva A. Brown, 46, Rt. 6, McCauley Rd., died in her home at 3 p.m. yesterday of apparently self-inflected knife wounds, according to sheriff's reports. She was a housewife. Funeral services will be held at the graveside in the Hopewell Cemetery, Friday at 2 p.m. The Rev. Walter Sledge will officiate. Friends wishing to attend the service are requested to go directly to the cemetery. Mrs. Brown was born in Chester on August 25, 1931, the daughter of John and Ester (Gerlach) Boldwyn. She was first married to Steve Hays, who preceded her in death. She was married on August 25, 1957, in Mt. Vernon, to William C. "Wimpy" Brown, who survives. In addition to her husband she is survived by five sons, David Brown, Billy Brown, Alvin Brown, Donnie Brown (should read Donnie Hays) and Ralph "Butch" Brown, all of Mt. Vernon; three daughters, Mrs. Linda Dugger, Tamaroa, Lola Brown, Centralia, and Sandra Brown, Centralia. One brother, Harold Boldwyn, Mt. Vernon; two sisters, Mrs. Cleo Price, Huston, Missouri, Mrs. Iola Rosenburg, Newark, New Jersey, and four grandchildren.
