Mrs. James BRUCE, died of consumption at her home in Rome township at 8:20 this morning after an illness covering a period of four years. Deceased was the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Joseph FROST and was born in Shiloh township in 1841, consequently was 58 years of age at the time of her death. She was twice married, the first time to Wilson Webb, by whom she had four children, and the second time to Mr. BRUCE of which union a large family was born, and of which four survive, all of whom are married except Curtis, the youngest son. The surviving children are Mrs. Duma PACE, Edward BRUCE, Mrs. Tellie TATE and Curtis BRUCE. Deceased was a member of the Baptist church and was a Christian woman, possessing all the traits and virtues which that term implies.The funeral services will take place at Pleasant Grove church at 1 o'clock tomorrow afternoon, Rev. J. W. BROWDER officiating. Friends of the family invited to the obsequies.
