Minnie Belle Bullock

Minnie Belle Bullock, was born February 29, 1868, in Jefferson county, Illinois and died at her home in Mt. Vernon, Illinois, September 4, 1899, aged 31 years 6 months and 5 days.

She was married to Alvin Bruce Burke November 26, 1891. To this union two sons were born, Merritt Clyde and Joseph Gail, both of whom with the husband, mother and one brother, George Bullock, survive to mourn their loss.

Minnie was converted and joined the church in a meeting held by Rev. J. W. Flint in January 1881 at Pleasant Grove.

She has been a constant sufferer for months with consumption; but was perfectly resigned. She gave herself completely to the Lord and commended her husband and two little boys to God. Her home was in order and for weeks anxiously awaited her release wanting to get home to heaven. She rests in peace.

Funeral was conducted by the writer and Rev. J. F. Harmon, Sept. 6, 1899, and the body laid to rest in Pleasant Grove cemetery. J. C. Kinnison
