David E. Bundy, 53, of Salem died Feb. 27, 2006, at St. Mary's Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon. Born March 3, 1952, in Mt. Vernon, he was a son of John R. and Wanda Louise Johnson Bundy. His mother preceded him in death.He was a former emploee of Word Color Press, formerly located in Salem, as a pressman. He was of the Christian faith. He had a life endowment membership in the National Rife Association. He mararied Brenda A. (Gutzler) Bundy Nov. 23, 1973, in Bluford; she survives in Salem. Also surviving are Derek Bundy, his son, and fiancee Shaunda Owens of Salem; Leigh Ann Requardt, his daughter, of Centralia; John R. Bundy, his father, and wife Loretta of Texico; and his granddaughter, Abbie, of Centralia. Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at Opdyke Cemetery, with Dr. Andy DeWitt officiating. Visiting hours will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Rankin Funeral Home in Salem. Memorials may be made to Brenda Bundy Labrador Service Dog Training, the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association and will be accepted by the funeral home.
