Ms. Billie Cain, 65, of Mt. Vernon died at 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 30, 2006, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, Ky.

She was born on Aug. 9, 1941, in Dyersburg, Tenn. to T.A. and Elnora (Cobb) Williams.

Ms. Cain was a retired nurse's aid. She was a member of Corinthian Baptist Church, was on the church usher board, and on the church kitchen committee.

She is survived by son Dwight (wife Mitzi) Williams of Mt. Vernon; daughters Rosie (husband Dennis) Moore, and Barbara (husband Jesse) Green; nine grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; brothers Taylor (wife Ann) Williams of Metropolis, Lester Carter of Memphis, James (wife Vasheffia) Ware of Mt. Vernon, Bobby Ware, Paladin Ware and Randy Ware of Charleston, Mo.; sisters Hattie Nelson, Lela Ware, Della Ware of Charleston, Mo., Leigh Paige Ware of Sikeston, Mo.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Ms. Cain was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and one sister.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Shiloh Baptist Church. Rev. Ronald Lash and Rev. Lawrence James will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the church. Services are under the direction of the Jackson Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon.
