Clara Louise (Copple) Cameron
Clara Louise Cameron, 94, of Mt. Vernon died 11:45 a.m. March 7, 2005, at Mt. Vernon Care Center in Mt. Vernon. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Cameron was born Dec. 14, 1910, in Dix to Norman and Cora I. (Street) Copple. She married Lester Kenneth Cameron July 12, 1930, in Centralia; he died Sept. 28, 1999. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday at Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon. Randy Sells and J. Howard Kraps will officiate. Burial will follow at Little Grove Cemetery in Jefferson County. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon. Mrs. Cameron is survived by a son, Donald R. Cameron and wife Jeannie of New Carlisle, Ohio; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a sister, Vera Smith of Mt. Vernon; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers and a sister. Mrs. Cameron was a member of Central Christian Church, Lois Morse Guild, AARP and a former member of Homemakers Extension Unit. For those who wish, memorials may be made to the Central Christian Church Building Fund and will be accepted at the funeral home or may be mailed to Hughey Funeral Home, P.O. Box 721, Mt.
