Viola K. "Bob" (Wilkins) Cameron
Viola K. "Bob" Cameron, 77, of Bluford died at 5:20 p.m. Dec. 9, 2004, at the home of her daughter. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Cameron was born April 9, 1927, in Marion County to Wilbur and Mary (Dodson) Wilkins. She married Curtis D. Cameron Oct. 23, 1942, in Jackson, Mo.; he died July 24, 1994. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon. The Rev. Don Rector will officiate. Burial will follow at East Hickory Hill Cemetery in rural Jefferson County. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon. Mrs. Cameron is survived by her sons Tony Cameron and wife Shelia of Bluford and Randy Cameron and wife Linda of Guthrie, Okla.; daughter, Kathryn “Kakie” Pepple and husband Stanley of Mt. Vernon; grandchildren Jeff Pepple and wife Michelle of Opdyke, Rod Pepple and wife Bridgette of Bluford, Twanna Broady and husband Aaron of Opdyke, Jessie Cameron of Bluford, Jake Cameron of Bluford, Lisa Hulsey of O’Fallon, Mo., Denise Cameron of O’Fallon, Mo., Donnie Cameron of O’Fallon, Mo., Ronnie Cameron of O’Fallon, Mo., David Cameron of O’Fallon, Mo., and Marty Cameron of Texas; 18 great-grandchildren; sisters Shirley Arington of Phoenix, Ariz., and Louise Forth of Batavia; and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by a special close friend, Don Maxey of Bluford. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a son, Rodney Cameron. Mrs. Cameron was of the Baptist faith.
