Helen Louise Campbell, 82, of Mt. Vernon, died at 10:15 a.m. Tuesday, April 7, 2009, at Mt. Vernon Health Care Center.

She was born Tuesday, Aug. 17, 1926, in Jefferson County, the daughter of David Orval and Ruby Vinetta (Wells) Campbell.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at South Hickory Hill Cemetery in Jefferson County with the Rev. Jesse Allen officiating. Interment will follow.Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon.

Mrs. Campbell is survived by a brother, Bill Campbell and wife Phyllis of Logan, Utah, and a sister, Lela Ramsey and husband Harley of Elgin.

Her parents and one sister, Lula Cramer, preceded her in death.
