Tommy A. Campbell, Jr., 51, of Mt. Vernon, died 2:30 p.m. Jan. 29, 2007, at his home.

He was born July 14, 1955, in Mattoon to Tommy A. Campbell, Sr. and Jo Ellen (Denham) Campbell.

He married Lois (Tate) Campbell on May 2, 1999, in Mt. Vernon.

Tommy was a personal assistant for the elderly. He was a member of Southside Baptist Church. He loved camping, fishing and loved to talk. He loved his family and grandchildren dearly.

Funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Thursday at Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Jefferson County. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon.

Tommy is survived by his mother Jo Ellen Campbell of Mt. Vernon; wife Lois Campbell of Mt. Vernon; daughter Jo Ann Quimby of Rockford; stepson Chris Albright and friend Missy of Texico; stepdaughter Christina Gomez and husband Rosendo of Mt. Vernon; brother Albert Leslie Campbell and wife Phyllis of Rockford; sisters Sharon Lynn Box of Fairfield, and O(sic) Marie Reynolds and friend Tonya of Mt Vernon; grandchildren Cassandra Barnard of Mt. Vernon, and Baylor Robert Barnard of Mt. Vernon.

His father Tommy A. Campbell, Sr. preceded him in death.
