Mrs. Emma Capps, daughter of Joel Allen & Amanda Page, was born August 29, 1874, departed this life October 31, 1955, at the age of 81 yrs., 2 mo. & 2 days.

Leaving 8 children to mourn her departure. Five sons, namely: Marion & Levi of Belle Rive, Fred & Guy of Mt. Vernon, Il., and Lonnie of Benton. Three daughters, namely: Eula Stubblefield, Pearl Casey & Zella Payne, all of Belle Rive. 16 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. Four brothers, namely: Oscar page of Benton, Il., William Page of Mt. Vernon, Wallace Page of Sandwich, Il., and Archie Page of Decatur, Il.; one sister, Anna Thurmond of Morley, Mo., besides a host of relatives and friends.

A precious one from us has gone,
A voice we loved is still.
A place is vacant in our home,
Which can never be filled.
God in his wisdom has recalled,
The boon his love has given.
Altho the body slumbers here,
Her Soul is safe in Heaven.
