Wilma Fae (Jones) Capps
Wilma Fae Capps, 75, Belle Rive, passed away at 2:20 p.m., on July 6, 2007, at Iroquois Memorial Hospital in Watseka,. She was born on July 16, 1931, in Belle Rive, the daughter of John B. Jones and Alma (Phillips) Jones. She married Norman Levi Capps on Dec. 24, 1948, in Bluford, and he preceded her in death on June 2, 2007. She retired from the Physical Therapy Department of St. Mary's Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt.Vernon. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday at Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon with the Rev. Ted Anderson. Interment will follow at Belle Rive Cemetery in Belle Rive. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Wilma is survived by two sons, Clyde David Capps and wife Donna of Mt. Vernon, and Jeff Capps and wife Patti of Wadesville, Ind.; a daughter, Kathy Lynn Hefner of Belle Rive; three grandsons, Michael Capps of Mt. Vernon, Gale Lee Hefner of Bluford, and Lucas Wayne Hefner and wife Cami of Marlow; two great grandsons, Ben and Jeremy Hefner of Marlow; a great granddaughter, Emahlee Hefner of Bluford; and a sister, Alma Jean Phillips and husband Bill of Kentland. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Her parents, husband, two sisters, Helen Capps and Ellen Jones, and eight brothers, Herman, Thurman, Lee, Clyde, Raymond, George, Norman and Loren Jones, preceded her in death. For those who wish, memorials may be given to the Harlan Road Church of God and will be accepted at the funeral home or may be mailed to Hughey Funeral Home, P.O. Box 721, Mt. Vernon, Ill. 62864. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Hughey Funeral Home.
