Claud C. Carpenter
Claud Carpenter Dies Last Night Claud C. Carpenter died at 11:45 o'clock last night at the home of his sister, Mrs. Walter Crosnoe, 1009 Vaught street. His age was 74 years, three months and seven days. Mr. Carpenter was a retired farmer. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1:30 p. m. at Myers Chapel, with Dr. R. B. Guthrie officiating, and burial will be in Bethel Memorial cemetery. The body will remain at Myers Chapel. Mr. Carpenter was born October 26, 1874 in Jefferson county, the son of Isaac D. and Laura (Elliot) Carpenter. He was married to Josie Bertram, who preceded him in death in February, 1941. He was a member of the Methodist church. Surviving are a step-son, Carl Bertram of Mt. Vernon; a brother, Walter Carpenter of Fairflower, Calif.; and two sisters, Mrs. Walter Crosnoe of Mt.
