Eddie Ernest CASEY, was born January 18, 1870 in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. He passed away May 8, 1927 at 10:30 a.m. at the age of 57 years, four months and 20 days.

He was united in marriage to Colleda HARVILL, January 17, 1892.

To this union were born eight children, three girls and five boys, all living except one son Martin who died at the age of nine months.. John B., J. Claude and Pearl LINDVILL, living in Mt. Vernon, Cora M. MOSSBERGER of Chicago, Adah SCHWENINGER of Bonnie and Louis A. and Calvin E. at home with their mother., four grandchildren, four brothers, Charlie of Paxton, Illinois, William of Belle Rive, Russ of Princeton, Indiana, and Grover of Belle Rive, two sisters, Mrs. Winnie KLINKER of Dahlgren, Illinois and Mrs. Dottie KLINKER of Belle Rive, Illinois.

He professed a hope in Christ about three weeks ago. He told everybody that he was ready to go, whenever it was the Lord’s will to take him. He was a kind and affectionate husband, a loving father, a good neighbor, ready to help in time of need.

Funeral services held at Hams Grove Baptist Church Monday, May 9, 2 O’clock in the presence of a very large congregation of people. Services conducted by Elder Cyrus MAULING, assisted by Elder E. J. CRAVENS.
