Martha F. Chamberlain, 66, Woodlawn, died at 7:40 pm Sept. 5, 1986, in her home.

Mrs. Chamberlain was born June 13, 1920, in Mt. Vernon, the daughter of Marshall and Lydia Ethel (Pigg) Russell.

On June 11, 1939,in St. Louis, she married Millard Cooper Chamberlain, who died April 6, 1968.

Services will be 1 pm Monday at Hughey Funeral Home with the Rev. Buss Hart officiating. Burial will follow in Hopewell Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 pm Sunday in the funeral home.

Survivors include a son Robert "Bob" M. Chamberlain and wife Sherrie of Woodlawn; two grandsons, Travis Chamberlain and Tyson Chamberlain; three sisters, Faye Gregory, Alma Tapp and Thelma Dial, all of Mt. Vernon; a brother, Ralph Russell and wife Mildred of Mt. Vernon; and several nieces and nephews.

For several years, Mrs. Chamberlain was employed at Mt. Vernon Garment Factory. She was also a member of Woodlawn Rebekah Lodge No. 75 and Casey Avenue Baptist Church in Mt. Vernon.
