Miss Mary Audra Chastain, of RFD ????? at 11:40 p.m. at Jefferson Memorial Hospital. She was 59 years, three months and 26 days of age at the time of death.

She was an employee of the International Shoe Company and a member of the Hopewell Methodist Church.

Miss Chastain was born August 11, 1898, at Mt. Vernon, the daughter of George E. and Dora (Stonecipher) Chastain

She is survived by one brother, Roy Chastain, and two aunts, Angie Smith of Centralia and Clara Sledge of Bluford.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Hopewell Methodist Church, conducted by the Rev. L. A. Wagley. Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery. Friends may call at the Osborn Funeral Home in Dix, where the body will lie in state.
