Roy Chastain, 64, of Route 6, died suddenly at his home at 8:00 am Thursday.

Funeral services for Mr. Chastain will be held at 2:30 pm Sunday at the Osborn Funeral Home in Dix. The Rev. Ross Partridge will officiate and burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery. The body will lie in state at the Osborn Funeral Home, where friends may call after 4:00 pm Saturday.

Mr. Chastain was born Oct. 4, 1905, in Jefferson county, the son of George E. and Dora (Stonecipher) Chastain.

He was married on Nov. 7, 1932, in Princeton, Ind., to Hazel Thomson. She survives.

Mr. Chastain was a retired employee of the International Shoe Company here. He had worked there 40 years.

He is survived by an aunt, Mrs. Angie Smith, of Centralia. He was preceded in death by a sister, Audra Chastain.
