Zelma L. (Hutchison) Clark
Mrs. Zelma L. Clark, 72, of 207 S. 2nd St. died at 9:40 p.m. Wednesday at Good Samaritan Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Bethel Tabernacle, with burial in Bethel Cemetery. Friends may call at Myers Chapel after 6 p.m. Friday. The body will be taken to the church at 11:30 a.m. Saturday. Mrs. Clark was born Feb. 16, 1902 in Jefferson county, the daughter of Henry and Iva ( Cates ) Hutchison. She married Linzy E. Clark, who preceded her in death on April 4, 1959. Mrs. Clark was a private duty nurse. Survivors include five sons, Harl P. Clark, Fort Collins, Colo., Eddie Clark, Channahon, Stan and Richard C. Clark, both of Mt. Vernon, and Jerry Clark, Centralia; six daughters Mrs. Betty Cotner, Logansport, Ind., Mrs. Judy Schneider, Peoria, Mrs. Wyva Bullard, Mrs. Amylee Martin, and Mrs. Lin Rose, all three of Mt. Vernon, and Mrs. Aletta French, Bluford; two sisters, Mrs. Ruby Williams, Chicago, and Mrs. Betty Phelps, Mt. Vernon; a brother Bill Hutchison, East St.Louis; 33 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
