Gary S. Clutter

Gary S. Clutter, 65, of Scheller, died 11:15 p.m. March 21, 2007, at his home.

He was born to Earl W. and Louella McCourt Clutter on June 5, 1941, in West Virginia.

Clutter was the owner operator of Gary’s Auto Repair. He was of the Pentecostal faith, and a lifetime member of the American Trap Shooters Association. He dearly loved his family and his farm, and was a hunting and fishing enthusiast.

Clutter is survived by his wife Mary Borgetti Clutter of Scheller; sons Greg Clutter of Scheller, and Tim S. Clutter and wife Denise of Christopher; step-sons Jeremy Clutter of Mt. Vernon, and Jody E. Cherry of Champaign; daughter Garine Sue Parke and husband Mark of Christopher; grandchildren Ashley Parke of Christopher, Andrew Parke of Christopher, Heidi Clutter of Christopher, Shelby Clutter of Christopher, Noah Clutter of Christopher, Cecelia Clutter of Mt. Vernon, Perigan Clutter of Mt. Vernon, Naomi Clutter of Mt. Vernon, Jan Cherry of Champaign, Emma Cherry of Champaign, and Kylie Cherry of Champaign; step-grandson Jeremy Parke of Buckner; great grandson Nicholas Savage of Christopher; brothers Gerald Clutter of Rockford, and Warren Clutter of Rockford; and sister Claris Bohn of Rockford.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brother Bradford D. Clutter.

Gary’s wishes were to be cremated. The family will hold a Memorial Visitation Service from 5 to 8:30 p.m. today at Davis Funeral Chapel.

There will be a private memorial service at a later date. The family requested in lieu of flowers that donations be made to Southern Illinois Hospice.
