(Contributed) Rush COCHRAN was born in Jefferson County, Illinois near Spring Garden, January 22, 1844 and departed this life, November 23, 1920. Aged 75 years, 10 months and 1 day. He was married to Nancy Ann CRAWFORD October 6, 1864. To this union were born eight children, two dead and six living, who are as follows: James David, Mrs. Harve ADCOCK, Mrs. Robt. DODSON, Mrs. E. S. DODSON, Mrs. Wm. COLLINS and Andrew Burrell. The mother of these children departed this life November 21, 1880.He again married to Mary Jane CRAWFORD, March 24, 1882 and to this union were born seven children, two dead and five living, Charles, Jesse, Frank, Vivian and Cecil. He is survived by a heart broken widow, 11 children, 31 grand children, and 8 great-grand children. He was a kind husband, a devoted father and a good neighbor, loved by all with whom he came in contact with. His last illness covered a period of about two years, during which he suffered much with gentle patience. Kind loving hands ministered to his every want and did everything possible for him.
